Electrical Contracting
As a member of the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) and Electrical Contractors Association (ECA), we are recognised installers for Electrical Installations, including Remedial Works and Repairs and we provide certification on completion of all jobs. We have plenty of experience in carrying out all kinds of installation work in all types of locations i.e. :

  • Private houses, large or small
  • Local authority owned dwellings, including care homes
  • Government buildings – council offices, schools, hospitals, fire stations, churches and cathedrals, prisons
  • Commercial buildings – factories, shops, offices.

We can install a complete electrical installation, or a few sockets – whatever is required.

As registered Part P installers with the NICEIC, we can self certify our domestic installations as required by the building regulations.

Portable Appliances
All portable appliances i.e. kettles, toasters, computers etc should be tested for electrical safety on a regular basis. Equipment used in commercial premises i.e. offices, public houses, hotels etc should be tested more regularly due to the fact that the items are provided for use by many different people and probably on a constant basis.

Testing is carried out using a modern and computerised meter, and it only takes a matter of minutes to test each item. On completion, the test results are downloaded on to a computer and printed on certificates.

Our rates are competitive and our certification is clear and informative. All client records and certification copies are kept on our database for future reference.

Our service includes:
  • Free advice
  • Free quotations
  • Prompt and efficient service
  • Clear and informative certification

Certification
All the electrical work we carry out is certified upon completion as complying with the current wiring regulations, as per the legal requirements. Completion certificates are issued for clients to keep as a record of work carried out, both for themselves and for future purchasers of their property as appropriate.

A copy of each certificate is kept by Brecon Electrical & Security Ltd., for later reference if required and for the NICEIC inspector to see during his annual inspections to the company premises.

Handover Documentation
Large contracts often involve various types of equipment within the installation i.e. several kinds of lights, fans, heating systems and alarms etc, for which the manufacturer’s instructions are very useful to clients. Such instructions may include self testing of alarms, wiring diagrams for heating systems or how to change the lamps in a special type of light fitting.

On completion of such contracts, a manual is compiled, containing all the relevant information for the electrical equipment installed, along with other useful documents such as a distribution board list. Even some small jobs use several types of equipment, so all relevant documentation is given to the client.

Our service includes:
  • Detailed certification concerning the work carried out, completed on NICEIC or ECA approved documentation
  • Comprehensive manuals containing all the relevant manufacturers instructions and any other documentation pertaining to the work
