CCTV or Closed Circuit Television, has become an accepted part of everyday life, for people who wish to protect their property. We appreciate that different people have different needs and we are therefore able to tailor our installations to our customers requirements accordingly.
As a registered and regularly inspected security installer with the SSAIB, we offer several different CCTV options, depending on your requirements. We use tried and tested CCTV equipment provided by leading manufacturers and backed up by their guarantees installations are carried out by trained and security vetted staff and maintained following installation, with regular visits and checks to ensure that the installation remains trouble free.
We supply and install CCTV solutions for all different environments, including houses, offices, shops, schools, surgeries, public houses, craft centres - in fact, anywhere where CCTV is required. If your property is being vandalised, you may want to install a CCTV camera to act as a deterrent as well as being able to collect information to assist the Police in identifying the culprits.
We can supply more advanced systems so that you can keep a watchful eye on your property via the internet whilst on holiday. For example Digital Video Recorders (DVR) are widely used to record images up to a 30 day period dependant on the size of the hard drive. Most external cameras have built in infared lens to give daylight images at night.

If you have already received quotes for a CCTV system installation, we will be happy to provide a like-for-like quote, subject to the specified equipment meeting our stringent quality standards. Brecon Fire & Security aim to ensure that all supplied equipment is backed by a minimum of 12 months manufacturer warranty. Some of our "high-end" systems boast extended warranty periods of up to 3years so please ask for details.
Occasionally we may not always be able to quote like for like against our competitors systems, as we are increasingly finding that others are specifying low-grade, imported equipment in order to win business.
Unfortunately for the buyer this sub-standard equipment often tends to be extremely unreliable, failing shortly after the 12 month warranty period has lapsed.
Camera Options
As there is such a huge range of cameras available on the market, there is a camera available for any application, from covert cameras to mini dome cameras. Below are just a small number to choose from and examples of where they can be used.
Internal Mini Dome Cameras
 Internal mini dome cameras can be used in a large variety of applications, from domestic properties to offices. These cameras are small yet very effective and they are available in both colour and black/white, which makes them suitable for both day and night time surveillance.
Vandal Resistant Dome Cameras
 External vandal resistant dome cameras can be used both internally and externally. They are more suited in areas where the camera could be prone to vandalism. As with internal mini dome cameras, these cameras are also available for day and night time surveillance.
Decorative External Cameras
 Decorative cameras are often very popular on period historical buildings. Many designs are available, from ornate street lanterns to swan neck scroll pendant style housings.
Digital Video Recorder (DVR)
 The recording device receives and stores the images from the camera. Digital video recorders use computer hard drives to store the recorded information and can record for much longer periods, depending on the size of the hard drive being used.
