Intruder Alarms

As a registered and regularly inspected security installer with the SSAIB, we offer several types of intruder alarm, depending on your requirements. We use tried and tested alarm equipment provided by leading manufacturers and backed up by their guarantees. Installations are carried out by trained and security vetted staff and maintained following installation with regular visits and checks to ensure that the installation remains trouble free.

There are various types of installation available and several options for monitoring the installation, either independently via a central monitoring station, or through self monitoring via a mobile phone. Security alarm technology continues to be improved and we ensure that we remain abreast of all new developments as they become available, to ensure that our customers have the best possible choice when it comes to deciding which security system to install.

The majority of us do not consider the implications of a break-in or the need for an intruder alarm system until it's too late. Not only do we suffer the financial loss and disruption, there's also the emotional impact. Types of Alarm Systems

Wired Systems
Castle PanelHardwired intruder alarm systems are those that have the devices wired directly to the control panel. We use Castle Care-Tech wired control equipment (as indicated on the right). The alarm systems we supply and install are suitable for both the home or commercial properties. Our intruder alarm systems are cost effective and simple to use. Intruder alarm systems can be configured to allow full or part settings, for example, part setting would mean that the downstairs of your property would be protected whilst you sleep at night upstairs and when you leave your property; the full setting is used protecting both the upstairs and downstairs. Please contact us to arrange a free survey so we can tailor the intruder system to your requirements.

Wirefree Systems
Agility PanelIf you don't want unsightly cables in your property, or it is impractical to fit a conventional hard wired system, then why not consider installing a wirefree intruder alarm system? Wirefree systems can be configured in the same way as the hard wired systems, to allow full or part settings.

Detection Devices

Optex DetectorThe Passive Infra-Red Sensor Detectors are an invaluable asset to any alarm system as they detect movement or heat by looking at the room in infra-red. The detector lens splits the room up into 20+ areas and basically any movement of heat between these areas will cause an activation of the alarm system. There are several variants of this detector and the most common are listed below:

1. The Standard PIR is as described above.
2. The QUAD, is basically two Standard PIR detectors working together in one unit. The effect creates much better reliability as both the detectors need to trigger at the same time which creates a higher resistance to false alarms.
3. The DUAL-TECH, is two different technology detectors built into the same unit. You get the benefits of a standard PIR sensor and also a microwave movement sensing device. False alarms are almost impossible with these detectors. They simply do not trigger unless something has moved. These detectors work well even in the harshest of conditions, such as a garage or shed where the environments they are protecting can change on a daily basis. There are even 'Pet Friendly' detectors available, which can differentiate between humans and cats or dogs.

The Door Contact (Magnetic Reed Switch)
Door ContactCommonly referred to as a door contact, but known in the trade as an MRS (Magnetic Reed Switch), this device simply lets the alarm control panel know if a door, shutter or window is open or closed. They come in all shapes and sizes to suit the door/window and frame to which they are being fitted and have an operational gap from 15 up to 60mm, dependant upon type. These are nearly always fitted to any external doors in the premises, but can be fitted to any door or window that requires security.

The Panic Button (PA Button)
Panic ButtonA PA Button would be a useful addltion to you. Locations for these hardwired devices might be by the front door, or within reach of your bed. You could also ask for the wireless pendant type .. which you could wear around your neck, which when pressed, would work from anywhere within your property. These can have up to 100 yards range so would be handy to have while gardening for instance.
