Who are we? The core of our business has historically been in electrical contracting and was started approximately 35 years ago by Mr Terry Oldfield. Over the years, the company has evolved and kept pace with the many economic and regulatory changes that have taken place over time. It has maintained a loyal customer base, including both public and private clients, providing a reliable service and good quality electrical and fire alarm installations. However, following the steadily increasing interest shown by our customers in security solutions over several years, the parent company, Brecon Electrical & Security Ltd, decided to separate the two elements of the business, so that they were both free to concentrate on their specific areas of expertise, but complement each other at the same time. Brecon Fire and Security specialises in security solutions for all types of applications. Our engineers are fully trained in the latest technology and continue to receive training to keep pace with the ever changing world of security. Our membership and registration with the Security Systems & Alarms Inspections Board (SSAIB), ensures that best practice is maintained at all times and the regular inspections by the SSAIB ensure that our customers can be confident in the service we provide, both during the installation and following the installation with the back up maintenance service we offer.
What do we do? In simple terms, we can provide you with a security solution to meet your individual needs and requirements. By talking to you and visiting your premises, we will find out what you need, why you need it and where. We will then provide you with a free, detailed quotation, which will explain what we are providing and how much it will cost. If you are happy with our quotation, we will then carry out the installation and provide you with training to help you use the system, along with all the relevant certification and instructions. We will then continue to service and maintain your security installation for as long as you wish, along with a 24 hour Emergency Call Out Service if you need it. We will offer you the best service and equipment to meet your requirements, installed by fully trained and securely vetted staff, who are on call at any time to answer your questions and offer advice any time you need it.
We work in partnership with various public corporate customers eg local councils, health authorities, ecclesiastical bodies and defence agencies, to provide security solutions in schools, council offices and chambers, outdoor pursuit centres, hospitals, churches and defence establishments. Our work for private customers includes the installation of security systems in a number of different environments, including domestic properties, hotels, public houses, factories, shops and farms, to name but a few.

By maintaining a skilled loyal workforce, who receive regular training in the installation of the most modern and efficient equipment available, we can provide the optimum security system for any application, large or small, using tried and tested equipment, backed up by a reliable and comprehensive maintenance service.
